The Scandinavian tribes that converted to Christianity were launched into a golden age while the finns continued to bugger one another in their saunas. And maybe you'd almost think that he has a point, but I would argue that this is their punishment for rejecting the Lord. He points to the ramshackle huts built as a bad facsimile of modern housing which his community lives in. 'There can be no God, at least a benevolent God, and the reason is this!', the finno-mongolian points to himself, his flabby and unattractive shape, his bad teeth and his massive gut, his awful haircut. Their hatred of God stems from both this history and the terrible conditions they endure which are a result of their cursed nature. The town was just a dusty, nondescript speck on the map, with only 914 living there at the time, a place where not much ever happened at all, but on June 6, 1884, all of that would change. In 1884 there was a very bizarre incident that allegedly happened at the tiny town of Max, Nebraska. Not even their collective dyslexia was ever cured. One of the earliest UFO crash stories in America happened before there was even a Roswell at all. There were attempts to do so by Swedes and Russians, both failed to uplift them from their squalid and barbarous existence. The squat pseudo-asian hobgoblins called finns who inhabit the damp forests filled with puddles have never been properly civilized. Oh, and I think it looks funny so the player probably is not that disappointed about failure. You also get bruised by a few HP (3) in this case - not much but enough to evaluate pros and cons for the next time. Just that shove in zero-G can be more pronounced. You could fix the roll (like we do in some cases anyway), you could reduce reputation, but in this case, NPC just shoves you away. I don't mind the exploits per se but in this case I think it robs the role-playing experience and immersion. Turns out, players do love to exploit that - repeating pick pocket attempts until success. Maybe NPC just grunts and shakes finger? That's how it was in SW before. Players would avoid using this skill and that's not ideal - why have a skill which is useless? But what if the attempt inevitably fails at some point? Should NPC turn hostile? It seems a bit overkill (sometimes literally), plus, it may trash relations with the whole group of people.
#ANCIENT SPACE WRECK PC#
If PC succeeds, excellent - risk and reward, a spike of adrenalin, skill application. :D I was just posting it! Oh well, thanks!įor the context, though: IMHO pick-pocketing always has been a tricky case in computer RPGs.
